Business Covers
Statutory WIBA cover for employees injured or disabled at work, and optional group medical, life, and personal accident schemes — protecting your team and your business under one roof.
What it is
Business covers protect both your employees and your business's cash flow, and fall into two groups. WIBA (Work Injury Benefits Act) cover is a legal requirement: every employer in Kenya must compensate employees for injuries, diseases, or death suffered in the course of their employment, and WIBA insurance transfers that liability to an insurer instead of leaving it as a direct, unbudgeted cost to your business.
Group covers are optional but widely used: they let a business insure all its employees under one policy — commonly group medical (inpatient and outpatient cover for staff and, often, their families), group life, and group personal accident — rather than each person arranging cover individually. Because the risk is spread across the whole group, businesses typically secure better rates and broader cover than an individual could arrange alone.
Why you need it
